I have a couple TB Western Digital drives that I without issue plugged into center console usb. I will check the formatting of them, though I think they are NTFS.
For music files, they work on factory settings. For some video files, you need to do some coding. I do know that both bluetooth software updates and Navigation Map Software updates recommend a FAT32-formatting. |

I checked and my TB HDD are NTFS. I get play from all files within folders from music (*.wma, *.mp3, *.flac, etc) to videos (*.divx, *.mp4, *.mpeg, *.avi, etc). They also work on flash drive in either NTFS or FAT32.
