LCI Key

Does anyone know if BMW has upgraded the key for the 5 series M-Sport LCI to mirror the one being offered on the new F15 X5 M-Sport?

Nothing mentioned in the brochures besides the Luxury variant which gets chrome trimmings on the key and for the Modern variant, it gets the Oyster coloured key which is the same as the F30's key.

I want this damn key. BMW's current key although elegant and nicely simple, is too bulky and unspectacular.

I'm also hoping for this fob for my Msport LCI. I guess I'll know more in about 2 weeks.

would be nice to know - I have one on order so can say soon. However, my key simply stays in my pocket & don't see it much due to comfort access...

Just ordered my 520d M-Sport (LCI), that key would be

On a side note, I know that the m-sport now comes with xenon headlights as standard, are these the angel eye's with DRL's?

I would assume that Xenons still come with the LED DRLs if coded.

Please correct me if I am wrong.......they don't have to be coded if you have xenons. They are your DRLs.

As I know some Japan spec F10s do not have the option to enable or disable DRLs in the iDrive

Have anyone actually seen the size of this new fob? Hard to tell how big it is just from the picture. Maybe a picture of the old and new fob together would help. Look wise, I cant see I like it any more or less than the old one.

I'm pretty sure it won't come with the F10 LCI. I mean, considering they've advertised it on the new X5 and not once on the 5er should mean something. I doubt they'd supply F10 LCI M Sports with it if they didn't advertise it at all.

Agreed. If it comes with it, it should be stated in the brochure just like what they did to the Luxury Line and Modern Line key fobs.

I guess if I really wanted it ... more curious than anything ... I wouldn't waste money on buying a key that just sits in my pocket 90% of the time.

Looks like unlock and trunk buttons would wear out like they did on the keys that had the buttons integrated. At least our current key does not show wear.
