New BMW oil?

Went to buy a litre of the normally rebranded Castrol from the dealer and I see a newer "sleeker" looking bottle. I asked the parts guy about it. He told me they are now using Shell oil, he thinks....hmmmm.

BMW switched from Castrol to Shell oil on 1 January 2015 worldwide.
Lots of threads on this.

Base oil is from the new Shell Gas to Liquids (GTL) plant in Qatar.

BMW are the 2nd company to switch after Ferrari.
