BMS JB Stage 1......Help Please

Hey All,

So I finally bit the bullet and purchased the BMS Stage 1 for my N63 550i. Everything went as planned - no codes/CEL, however, I do not know where to place the actual BMS box.

Upon placing the BMS box on top of the ECU (in the cowl)- the outer plastic bulge pushes my hood up in the corner when shut. Currently I have the BMS box laying close to the wire entry point/main connection to the ECU until I figure out a better location. Any suggestions?

Also - how many ECU "adaptations" are needed before the car is running at 100%? Difference is subtle at this point.

Thank you!

we all put it on top of ECU if it annoys you drop it in the empty space next to your ECU. You wont see much difference unless you up the boost with help of octane booster or race gas.

Bad Black the Legend! Thank you for the response. My concern is that if I drop this little black box next to the ECU that it will get rattled around and potentially cause an issue. Any ideas on mounting? Should I Velcro/secure this piece?

I placed mine inside the cavity where the hood hinge is (passenger side). There is a flat spot that you can place it there side way. There is enough clearance after close the hood even though it looks tight..

+1

I used a zip tie to fasten it in tight in that spot
