Alarm going off

I have a problem with my alarm going off now and then, tonight it was at 4.00AM which is pretty irritating. Other times it has been going off it was nothing provoking it, it is parked outside the kitchen window so I have a good overlook over it.

Anybody else have the same issue? Its an original factory-installed alarm.

It happened to me the other day but a few seconds after I closed it, I then realized that one of the doors was not properly closed.
Could it be the same situation in your case?

Garage List
Alarm sounding off for no reason

There are a couple of things you could check for

1. Obviously make sure your car windows/doors/sunroof is secured and not open

2. If your car is parked on an inclined driveway, or road with strong camber; it may be setting off the anti-theft algorithmn which is used to ensure alloys/car is not raised onto a flatbed truck and carted away. Park on flat ground and see if it goes off.

3. Most likely, there is a problem with your battery and it has a low or inconsistent voltage which needs to be investigated by your dealer. Are you having problems starting, or are you finding the drive jerky?

Thank you! It might be number two. Its so much snow now so the car is tilted when its parked. That might be it!!!

Plus as the prior thread explains about the tilting mode of the alarm, it might be more sensative to wind blowing on the car. A big gust could fool the alarm into thinking that someone is tampering with the car, or trying to start the tow process.
