N63tu built engine

Went to a shop today to sort out some minor issues with my car that i created with an intake system. Ended up chatting for awhile about the engine builds he does and obviously the one im keen on is his N63 rebuilds. He basically only works on BMW's and has successfully rebuilt over two dozen N63 engines completely, including his own that he daily drives. Also has his own turbo rebuild kits and comes with a 1 year warranty on all his work. According to him, runs better than factory and more reliable.

Apparently, he bores and sleeves the pistons then builds the bottoms with Carillo cranks, rods and pistons. The top half is all S63 parts though. His Frankenstein engine is rated to handle 1200hp. His rebuilds only put out 750ish and im not sure if thats M5 turbos or the rebuilt N63 turbos. Keeps it rated at 750ish as to not tear apart the clutch, tranny and diffs. Even the fuel pumps are upgraded M5. Package including turbos runs $12,000. Considering a new engine runs well north of that, id say its not a bad price.

Also, he said swap my oil to Liquimolly 10W60.l ASAP!! Should I?

Not sure of the finer details but wanted to hear thoughts and opinions.

After having my engine rebuilt for my m6gc; I run 15-50 in my M6 and started using it my wifes 550. No issues with the 550 but we qre starting to consider a rebuild for it and are looking at a forged build. The car is solid and has no issues that concern us yet but my wife loves the car and I enjoy driving it.

Whats is the name of the shop or owner? The N63 community is relatively small so if they are reputable at all, we would know the name. Is it Sergey?

No one here can really answer if you should spend $12k to rebuild N63. Financially, its a dumb move unless you have money to blow. It won't make 750whp and ultimately you will still have an N63 with inherent design flaws, regardless of the parts put in it. But again, if this is just a recreation and you've got budget for recreation money to waste then go for it.

The way i look at it is if the car is paid off, thats cheaper than a new car and with Pure stage 1 turbos, it would be able to handle it and would probably put down 750 crank power easy. But….. The shop turned out to be a bit shady and dont exactly trust him after he sent me a video of going 140 up the interstate in my car. The left exhaust bank rattles and its been impossible to get get back in for him to fix it. Pretty sure he was beating the shit out of my car and he did something else. Hoping its not a turbo or bearing. Not sure how to check it.

And BMW recommends 0W-30 for all N63/S63 variants....my N63TU cant even maintain a 40 weight after 5k miles....
