My best advice is to test it yourself. I tested cars with and without comfort seats and after driving with comfort seats I couldn't do without them.
As for active steering, check it in only if you have tried a car that was equipped with that option. It is too big a difference to just go with whatever people say online.

Hi - just ordered my own F10 535d M-Sport & would strongly recommend the:
- Carbon Black - had it on my previous 545i & it is just the BEST colour.
- Comfort seats - wouldn't go anywhere without them (had them on last 2 cars).
- have had M-Sport suspension 3 times before but this time I ordered the Adaptive Drive & the Active Steering; I think they'll be an excellent combo on this car.

What do you guys think of parking assistance/self park option? Is it useful at all?

Considering it along with the HUD and Activesteering!

HUD came standard on mine (but I had it on my X5 & would't be without it - it's awesome). I optioned my car quite heavily & chose both IAS & Park Assistant. The former because I thought it was a 'must have' & (being honest here) I bought Park Assist just for fun.

And apart from the novelty value, do you find it useful? I mean, do you still use it regularly? I tried it when I test drove a Merc ML350 and thought it was such an awesome piece of tech....

I'd say the HUD, the PDC and the Comfort seats are my most beloved options. How much is the HUD option in Portugal. In Bulgaria when we import new cars (up to 6mo) from an EU country, we pay no tax whatsoever, besides the VAT which is paid anyway.

The HUD here is about 1500€.

I've submitted the order with comfort seats, hud, surround view, ceramic, nav pro.....

I'm going to try and arrange a test drive to decide wether i'm going for adaptive drive or not.... and in that case i would drop some options probably...

MikeGr, Another "in his 30's" F11 owner here. Had two e60s but last car before F11 was also E92.

First congratulations on fatherhood!!!

We are also a one kid house (at moment...) he's 2.5yo now.

Don't kid yourself you WILL need the space in the boot of the F11, especially if the relatives live anything other than very close by.

I occasionally fall into the trap of thinking "should have got the F10..." then we go visit someone or go somewhere with buggy, toys, bags and do shopping and I suddenly remember why I bought the F11

You are in denial it's ok to be a man in his 30's driving an "estate" theres plenty of us on here join the group! So what if you work mates call it a hearse....not that that happens to me you understand (the gits).

Lets face it the F11 M-sport touring on 19's is still a very nice car by any standard and trust me even if you drive like an old woman (like me) there's still the odd time it's fun to race the young vauxhall corsa kids at the lights who thinks they can teach grandad in his estate car a lesson. Nothing they hate more than being left for dust by a car like that with a baby waving at them out of the side window

Options I went for on my 530d:
- professional media
- panoramic roof (excellent on F11)
- memory seats
- BMW business audio upgrade
- sport auto
- 19" wheels
- dab
- m-sport package
- folding/dimming mirrors

I came to my F10 535xi from an Audi A4 Avant. The F11 is not offered in the US. I love the F10 but sometimes miss the utility of the wagon. As for styling and aesthetics, perhaps this will diffuse any concerns...

http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=750772

I found this "wagon" strangely lust-inducing.
