Request: Pics of Anthricite w/ Black Dakota
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has a pic of Anthracite Wood Trim with Black Dakota leather so that I could compare it to the Dark Wood and Dakota. My dealer made a mistake when ordering and need to determine if I should take delivery or not. I looked it up on BMWUSA, but it's hard to see it in the small image. I'm just curious if people are happy with the combo choice or not. Thanks, X5er_Driver Last edited by X5er_Driver; 10-11-2011 at 06:45 PM.. |

Found this pic on the Silver exterior pictures thread. Hope the OP doesn't mind me re-posting the pic. I think the color combination looks nice. I hope so because that's what I have on order for my 2012 535i. Kind of the same situation for me. I assumed dark burl was standard, but the dealer ordered it with anthracite. I was 50/50 on the two anyway, so I left it like that.

Anyone looking at Dark Burl should ask for the dealer sample to look at, as it doesn't look anything like the website.
Dark Burl is almost totally black. Only in the light can you pick up the streaks of wood-grain. It's not anything like what I expected from having seen other cars with "dark wood" trim that are actually more brown. I was planning to order Dark Burl, but after seeing it on a sample and in a car, I went with Antracite because Dark Burl was too Black/Dark for me. |
