Auo/unstable revs

So this morning after I parked my car, after like 5 mins it started to rev up to 1.5k ish automatically and my car would shake. Then the drive train malf came on. Should I be worried? Anyone else have this problem? I am going to wait 1000 miles since my next service is due in 1000 to bring it to the dealer. Should I return the car to 100% stock?

Could be an issue with misfires, injectors, spark plugs, or vanos. Or could be nothing Do you have a CEL? Has it come back?

my jb stage 2 clears the CEL that came from my downpipes but after I restarted my car it went away. Should I be worried?

I had a similar issue

I have Burger Motorsports stage 1 tune on my 550i, and bought the Bavarian Technic cable through them. Using the cable and my laptop, I had a cylinder 7 misfire and dangerous exhaust temp warning.

I limped it home, and used BMW roadside assistance to pick the car up and take it to the dealership near me.

The dealership replaced 4 injectors, and the problem hasn't occurred again. Got the car back last Friday, drove it 400 miles over the weekend.

Of note, my service advisor said only 65 injectors were left in the stock system, but a new stock number has become available and 110,000 are currently out there, with more on order. It would appear BMW is gearing up for a recall, or they are getting enough newer model injectors to replace them on an as needed basis.

My recommendation to you is to put it back to stock, clear any codes from your tuner (if needed), and get it to the dealer. If you have misfires, it's not good for your valves if the injectors are dumping fuel into the cylinders. It could be more costly down the road, if you have issues after the warranty has elapsed.
