Option upgrades from a laptop
A friend of mine took his 550i to a guy in the local area who was able to 'unlock' quite a few of his options using his laptop. Some of what he was able to do:
- electric trunk close - remote wing mirror activation - remote windows and sunroom - active navigation - even digits on the radio -- US specs have odd and German stations are odd There are a few more, but am interested if anyone else has done something similar as I'm about to get it done myself. |

Yes, its called coding.
If you google f10 cheatsheet you will find a table of most of them. All sorts of things that can be enabled / disabled Don't bother asking you local dealer to do this as they won't be able. This will be like editing the registry in windows to set individual settings. |
