F10s and Watches

I just acquired what I thought was going to be a blue-faced watch from Amazon. It turns out to have a very dark blue face that in my mind closely matches the colour of my carbon black 535xi. It appears black in normal light, with blue highlights and shimmer that become more pronounced in direct light.

I'm not a watch connaisseur by any means, but this Seiko self-wind turned out to be a win-win for me. I'm curious what watches you have that might match your F10's style.

Your watch should match your outfit, not your car.

Items that combine form and function? Engineering and art?

Concur. Having matching styles, on the other hand, is possible. Maybe both car and watch make a statement, or are aggressively styled, or are stealthy.

Here's mine. It matches almost everything I wear and resembles the colors of my Imperial blue 550i

Nice Gmt Alan. Out of curiosity how old is your watch? Is it a random serial?

LOL. I was wondering how long it would take for "that guy" to post a picture of a Mickey Mouse watch. Well done.

Here is my 3.

Both the seiko kinetic and the Tissot is titanium, I usually change between these two on daily basis.
The BMW watch has been by work watch as I must have a leather strap at work, I have also worn this to BMW related events.

I plan to get a more exclusive watch within a year, I'm considering a Breitling Navtimer, or a Rolex of some kind...... Decisions, decisions.....

It just occurred to me that not everyone knows that a Rolex M serial means Fall 2007, and that coke is slang for the GMT red/black bezel. Didn't want you to think I blew off your question.

When/if they release the coke bezel in ceramic I'll pick up a new bezel along with a red 24 hour hand and turn my GMT into a convertible.

The TRF forum is cool if you're into this sort of thing, and Noggie you can find good deals from reputable vendors in the For Sale section.

I have a ROLEX black faced Submariner. Bought is new in 1998, wear it every day. Its bulletproof, understated, classic and will never go out of style.

It gains respect without being looked at as flashy or showy.

I also have a Blancpain flyback chronograph. I love that watch and everything about it. Everyone recognizes the Rolex. Few folks know about the Blancpain. Thats OK, i like it that way.
