Sunglasses holder?

Hopefully this isn't a stupid question, but is there a sunglasses holder in the F10?

I plan on using the compartment left of the steering wheel, to the right in the UK I guess. It seems to be the perfect size for glasses, sort of like a mini glove box.

That's where I keep mine, its also soft lined so you don't need to keep them in a case. Bit if a pain in the knee though if you forget to close it and try to get out if the car. Would have preferred one by the rear view mirror like on a Mondeo, one up to ford there I feel.

Isn't that what you take one of your children to the take away with you for! At least they come in handy for something sometimes Although you could say they they are a very expensive optional extra, especially as they get older

Actually BMW is selling a case to attach to the sun visor.

Check page 8 of the (dutch) F10 brochure.

I wouldn't want that thing in my car though.

I agree - it's awful. Think I will use the little cubby next to the steering wheel then! My A6 had one up by the rear view mirror/front interior lights - Mondeo-style! You would think a 5 series would come with one! Mind you, maybe not too much need for them in Bavaria!

Yes! Such a small thing but so very helpful. There isn't even one in the boot. Shame.

My Audi A4 (B8) also had this style of holder in the roof housing afront the rear view mirror, but it was too small for either of my sunglasses. They were not crazily big Oakleys or anything like that, just regular sports style shades.

In my F10, I have been cramming my sunglasses in the centre console with keys, phone and pack of Polos. I had forgotten about the cubby next to the steering wheel, so I'll start using that now.

Cheers.

The F11 does come with a curry handle, therefore no expensive, sleep depriving children required....

Left handside in the boot, two thirds of the way back, if I post a pic once I've cleaned and hoovered.... You need to press it to get it out otherwise it looks a bit like a plastic blank

Yes, as well as most Europeans. There are more smokers, and they smoke much more, than here in the states.

The E60 came with an optional "smoking package", with an ashtray and a lighter, otherwise it would be just storage.

The F11 seems to have an ashtray, but the lighter ist disabled... better.

And no, I don't think Europeans smoke more than anyone else... its more a question of social surroundings.

I have been using the handle catch which is spring loaded to "catch" my glasses since the E60 days - work like a charm That is if your glasses aren't too bulky
