Need some help with choosing rims/winter tires (17")
Sorry for the noob post, but I need some help with choosing rims + winter tires for me F10, as I'm kind of sick of either being without a car or being part of the 'hey can I drive a RWD with summer tyres on snow' Belgian lunacy here... I have a few questions.
Re tires - I'm pretty much torn between Dunlop 3D RFTs and Pirelli 210 Sottozero S2 RFT. They look more or less on par but any feedback? I also considered the Dunlop 4Ds but they don't come in 17" RFT sizes and I'd hate lugging around a spare, so... For wheels I'm even more clueless. I'll pick up a set of 17x8.0 5x120 ET35 72.6, but: 1. Is ET35 going to be OK? Yes, according to what I read...? 2. Any recommendations on brands? I don't need anything fancy, but still should be good quality. 3. I have the M sport package which means I currently have 245/45 in the front and 275/40 in the rear (18") + VDC suspension - does this make any difference? 4. Finally, are there any compatibility issues in particular between the tires I've listed and the wheels I need to look out for? Thanks in advance |

Order Nokian W3 A3 at reifen.com and ask shipping them to Reifen dealer in Aachen (no shipping costs). Go there and mount. You cannot be wrong: best winter tires at best price.

Though I probably won't go with the Nokian - thanks a bunch to pointing me to Reifen - WAY cheaper than shopping in Belgium. Cheers.
