New BMW Remote app update sends map destination to your car

Well that's fantastic. I did confirm this weekend that I am able to send maps from the app to the car again! (Android phone, 2012 535). Very pleased to have this function back.

Well, I tried using the BMW Remote app this afternoon (worked fine up until my last use a few weeks back) and I kept getting shut down in my attempt to log into my account.

After several calls to BMW Assist (and Customer Relations AND the "Problem Resolution Team"), I was told the Connected Drive features would be discontinued on "older" vehicles as of July 2016. I was informed that BMW allegedly sent out two letters to owners affected with this issue earlier in the year (I got nuthin'), and was also advised that refund checks would supposedly be in the mail for owners like me who recently renewed their plans.

Sounds like this return of service is going to be up in July then? Bummer...
