LCI cars weigh 900 lbs. more than a 7er?

Hi all, has anyone noticed the gross vehicle weight of the LCI cars under "Specifications" on the BMWUSA website? It states these cars are all over 5000 lbs! Surely the LCI update didn't add almost 800-900 lbs. to the car since 2013... that would make them heavier than a 7er and around the weight of an X5?

That's gross vehicle weight, not unladen weight.
