During the last service visit the dealership "lost" one of the rubber grommets that keep the engine cover attached to the metal posts, so I wanted to replace it. I went to RealOEM to check the part number (#2 on the image). I then ordered the appropriate part (13717588499) from the dealer in SF. Onbce I received it I noticed that it didn't fit! It looked "similar" but was quite different from the remaining one and would not fit in its right place in the engine cover, even though the part number was correct: I sent it back with some pictures and never heard back from them (got a refund though), but that still leaves me with a question: how do I find the right part? |

That is indeed the correct part number. I just ordered one last month and it fit correctly on my 2014 550i. Strange. Maybe they could have just sent you the wrong part the first time around They have them in bulk and could have just reached into the wrong bag to get yours.
