Retrofit NBT change ICM
Anyone tried to Retrofit NBT in a PRE LCI F10/11 and have changed the ICM module?
Yes i know i can use an emulator and yes i have benn using one for a few years but recently i got this "low pressure in tires" message and had to revert back to the CIC unit to reset the message. So, now i'm thinking of installing NBT witouth emulators, i know i have to get ZGW mid or high and flash with 4SK or 8SK, but as my NBT version has HW31 there is no Gyro inside it and i understand the ICM V2 has built in GYRO, according to the schematics in Ista they both have a 54 pin connections, but that is as far as i'm at the moment. I guess this is the reason why no emulator is needed for the LCI car's as they already have the upgraded ICM module. |

Ive done the retrofit..but then again I've done way too many changes to my car..
For ICM upgrade there is a thread you can follow : https://www.drive2.com/l/578467636975763496/ AND https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/n...mw-f10.849376/ ICM retrofit may require modifying ducts under center console IF you have 4 zone AC. |

I haven't completely done this yet, but i will soon, but what do i do with the Wires that goes from the ICM to the ACSM unit? in my Pre_Lci car the Sensor is in the center console and cables goes to the ACSM while in LCI cars the cables goes from ICM to ACSM, either 2 or 4 cables. Can i just leave it be? |

In my case, my car is a 5/11 build and I did not need to add any cables between the ICM and the ACSM. I just had to build the harness extension since the updated ICM has the connector on the opposite side. Not sure what your ultimate goal is but you might as well get the ICM that was used on the M5 as that one is fully featured.
