Tell me WHY?
Suv's, mini vans & anyone else that gets me at a stop light wants to race me. They inch up while the light is red. I don't even look directly at them. I have a 2011 535xi w/ the sports pkg.....If I punch it, it will only be to the next traffic light...what's the use. I look it as being reckless.....! Not worth it to me...

Maybe they're in a rush lol. Especially, if you live in NYC, everyone seems to be moving at a faster pace. I always inch up at red lights cause i'm ready to go, not necessary race the guy next to me.

I always give them the thumbs up and nob at the red light. The light turns green and they smoke their tires and I inch up slowly to the next red light, then I give them the nob again

here in hot atlanta it's always game who can get to the next red light first and stage for the next red light. you would think that GDOT would synchronise the lights? I know that would take brains.... which government is lacking.....

Whenever this happens to me, most of them end up in the dust

Oh!! So the inching up means they want to race!?!!? I didn't know that. I thought they are trying to say that they know when the light is going to turn green.

MiMs can turn out a fast 1/4 mile. Don't be fooled by the distracted driving and screaming kids!
For my wife, I had a bumper sticker made which read "zero to school in 60 seconds" Now that she's in a Lexus she misses the minivan's acceleration!

I let the SUV and Mini Vans go… it's the ones in the Dodge Chargers , lowered civics, and lifted F-150's that are more fun.

Considering the cost of gas, it doesn't make sense. I think it's a combination of everyone always in a rush to get somewhere other than where they are mixed with a compulsion to not get beat off the line... |

An E350 pulled along side me at a light in downtown Stuttgart the other week. His lane ended about 50 yards past the intersection. I allowed him to pull ahead, and then I let him have it. He ended up skidding towards the parked cars. My wife wasn't pleased as a few years ago I got a ticket doing a similar thing in Stuttgart (we've only been there a few times). When the ticket arrived, it came with a photo, and you could see her yelling at me.

See when I started this post I had another post in mind. That one was about "How fast have you driven your car". I have a 2011 535xi. I drove down to Charleston SC from NYC yesterday. The car was great on the road. Many times other cars would pass me like I was standing still.. I could have easily just given her a lil more gas and put them a good distance behind me, but the TROOPERS don't see that as an excuse to go over 100.....LOL. You all know how nice your cars are and what they can do(especially you 550 guys). I say all of this to remind us to be careful and avoid a speeding ticket. That's probably what I fear the most! |
