First World Problems

I figure this is the only forum that I could voice this without the rest of the world looking at me like I'm a child.

On my commute, there's always a tight intersection near a hospital. Today, some emergency vehicles decided that they wanted to park in a particular way that traffic would flow very close to a sidewalk.... and yes, I curbed my new wheels.... seems like its the bane of my existence.

The problem is, picture a guy getting out of a BMW, trying to reason with an EMT driver on why he shouldn't park this close and how the precious BMW got scratched. Yeah, even I couldn't take that kind of douchebaggery, so I sucked it up and sulked all the way into the office.

I think I can touch them up and potentially forget that they ever were scarred..... but knowing myself, I may end up buying another set of those Dinans just for back up now.

there are plenty of wheel repair people, they come to you and fix it like nothing happen, not sure of prices but would be cheaper than new wheels.

Such a shame you managed to behave, that'd would be great addition to youtube "BMW drivers" section.

That sucks!!

You should have walked up to EMT and told him that parking there will lead to increased EMT beatdowns from crazy BMW drivers and that you're just looking out for their safety.

I was recently in a similar situation (not EMTs) but luckily I only scratched my OEM wheels which will be replaced in the next month or two. This was my first time ever curbing any wheels, so it was particularly depressing especially on my new vehicle

Si senor. If it's not a gigantic gouge, you can have it fixed for $50-$60/wheel. Many times, you can't even tell it was scratched. Unfortunately, douchebaggery happens way too often here in SoCal.

i would have been "That Guy" who just sits there until they move or at least make more space as my 21's would probably get ef'ed up and the crazy side of me would have came out lol! i think we're a breed that knows when we're on the road what potentially can damage our wheels and what manuevers we have to do to prevent that...kinda like taking dips and bumps at certain angles to prevent scraping our front lip. but that's just me!

To be fair. There was physically enough room, I just misjudged the turn, even with the camera. I just cursed at myself for 30 min on the way to work.

Those are the worst, no wife or kids in the car, other drivers (or EMT guy) to blame it on, been there, those hurt the most.

Yeah I've had 2 sets repaired there. It's small enough I can touch up for now. I just worry about matching the black of the other Dinan wheels.
