Charge pressure too high

Hi all

I'm having the occasional "drivetrain - drive moderately" usually under hard acceleration . Then goes into limp mode ( still drives nice but less power.
Can drive for hours and no issues but it's not nice thinking you may lose a load of power at any minute if you're overtaking

Codes are reading
Charging pressure control plausibility too high

Charging pressure control deactivation, pressure build up blocked

Air mass volume too high

And also

Power management, overvoltage
(I think this one may be irrelevant )

Is this the wastegate control valve or the diverter valve??
Has anyone tried cleaning the wastegate control valve . Seems an easy first attempt .

Any thoughts guys ?
Thanks in advance

Check your intake post MAF sensor, might have something loose or cracked, sucking in more air than it thinks it is causing it to over pressurize. Had that happen to me a few times, one of the intake rubber clamps got loose, easy fix if that's what it is.

Hi , it's stock , zero mods.
I removed and cleans the boost control valve and checked the function of the wastegate actuator. (Seemed ok. The valve behaved a little differently after cleaning ( as in the way that air flows through the in and out. ) ok. I'm hoping it may have been sticking .
Test drive with multiple povokation ... no issues so far.

I'll double check for cracks / potential leak points .
Thanks for the help . I'll keep you posted on how it goes

Issue has reoccurred . Now replaced the wastegate control valve. ( pressure converter) . The part number has been superceeded twice since the original . The new one has a much larger filter section on it so maybe it is recognised by BMW as being insufficiently robust.
Let's see how it's goes

Fist long run since the boost control valve was change. No issues so far and the general performance seems better and more responsive. Not counting any chickens yet 🐔🐔🐔
