Question F10 520d - Boot (Trunk) floor... does it open?

Greetings esteemed German vehicle owners...

Quick question: is the back floor panel in my car meant to open up? I remember the sales chap showing me the battery in the back. I have run-flats, so I don't think I have the emergency pump and puncture kit; and definitely no spare.

I don't want to force it, but appreciate your advice. There is a part that does lift at the back, probably 15cm depth lid... but the rest of the floor is seemingly tied down with metal studs..

Thanks...

Obviously it is removable for maintenance access, but for under-floor stowage there is only the hinged rear panel you refer to.
I use it for storing jack, electric pump and tyre gunk.

Thanks Jon D; the items you mention, are they aftermarket bits you purchased (I presume you have RFT's too). ?

Pictures of what? If you want to see what the stowage area in question looks like, just open the boot, sorry, trunk for you, and have a look.
