Intro... My new (CPO) 535i xDrive M Sport

Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to the 5 forum here. I have owned a number of BMWs in my day (e46 ZHP, E83 X3, my wife currently has an E70 X5), and finally decided I needed a larger car and settled a while ago on an F10 with M Sport package. I spent a few months looking for the exact car I wanted as I'm pretty particular about the options and colors I wanted.

Three days ago, I picked up a (new to me) CPO 535i xDrive with M Sport package. I live in Boston and drove to CT to get the car (was searching the entire US, so I lucked out being only 3 hours away).

I had a few "must-have" features/options (space gray, M Sport, sport seats, 2014+ because I wanted the LCI and NBT navigation). I was really surprised to discover in my research that the thigh extension seats had been pulled out of sports package (that was a BMW golden rule to look at the seats to see if the car had SP).

Anyhow, here are the details:

- 2014 535i xDrive, 29,000 miles CPO
- Space Gray (was a must, my favorite color) on mocha (wife has cinnamon in her X5 and I loved it so wanted to try mocha. Backup choice was black)
- Cold Weather and Premium (pretty much included on every car in the northeast)
- Luxury Seating Package (got my sport seats and the ventilated / cooled seats are way cool)
- Lighting Package (really wanted the LEDs)
- Driver Assistance (wife has heads up display in her X5, and I like it a lot)
- Driver Assistance Plus (If I were ordering the car new I would have left this off.)
- Dynamic Handling (I really lucked into finding this. The car has it, and I love it... Just happened to be on the car that had my must haves).

Not sure what options the car doesn't have. The retractable sun visors in the rear... B&O radio... Extended leather (would have loved that)... I miss anything?

I won't do a ton to the car, but will do a few minor mods:

- Dinan software (used Dinan in the past, always been happy with results)
- Add a K40 RL360i (integrate into HUD)
- ordered the euro mirror glass side mirrors (once you start using the aspherical mirrors you can't go back)
- ordered a set of clear reflectors off eBay to replace the front bumper ambers
- picked up the universal iPhone adapter for the center console (I change iphones every year, hopefully the universal adapter will be good for a few generations on iPhones...
- will have the car remote coded (disable chimes, disclaimers, mirrors fold in with key fob, disable the auto start/stop etc)
- ordered the warning triangle and first aid kit to fill the empty tool box in the trunk
- on the fence about the OEM lip spoiler (the painted one, not CF). It came stock on my ZHP and I loved it
- debadged the back of the car already (both xDrive and 535i)
- will do one of those hide-a-way retractable front license plate brackets... I hate the look of the front plate.

Congratz. Awesome looking car!

Nice! Here is the link to the lip I just got. I'm waiting the CF wrap to come to wrap it on install. Hopefully within a few days

Also, where did you order your first aid kit? I need to get one of those as well.

Congrats,

I really like Space Gray too. I went your exact route with an F'10 CPO. Great deals out there right now!

Beautiful combination. This is exactly how I would of ordered the car if I were to order it. I picked mine off the lot.

I have also added the warning triangle and the first aid kit. All of my previous BMWs have been Euro deliveries so they all had them.

Go with the after market front lip as it is so much cheaper and you won't feel bad the 1st time you scrape it.

I recently purchased Euro spec tail lights but that might be an unimportant costly mod for you.

Also read about Goodyear LS tires bending those beautiful rims and costing bunch of $$$. I recommend a dedicated winter set. I have style 236 take offs from a 2016 5 series for winter use.

BTW, how much did you pay for this beauty, it sure looks stunning!

Thanks for the recommendations. I paid $44,750. They came down a whole $200 off the asking price LOL. I called the day the car hit the internet and put a deposit on it over the phone then drove 3 hours to see it. Didn't have much room for negotiating after that--especially with multiple people calling on it that day...

I have a F150 pickup that I drive when it snows out so I'll drive the car sparingly in the winter. Once the Goodyears wear out (how long should they last?), I'll pull the run flats and put Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3s on the car, and just throw this kit in the trunk for long drives: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...112159862~geb/

Congratulations - nice find! The dynamic handling is a must-have in my book. These larger BMWs just weigh quite a lot, and they really benefit from an active suspension and anti-roll.

Best of luck with it!

Ahh familiar username from E46fanatics. Welcome man and congrats on the F10. I do remember you being very particular with your E46 so I am not surprised one bit on your detailed write up of must haves for your F10. It is a great car and I think you will grow to love it. I have had mine 3.5 years know and still love it like the day I got it.

Congrats, car looks great. I'm a bit bias though as I have nearly an identical setup (except mines diesel). Sounds like you have some tasteful mods planned, looking forward to some updated photos

That is a pretty good price for what you got in return.

Goodyears should last about 30K if you rotate them properly. I rotate my tires every 5K miles on my AWD cars.

That kit is a must but look for people selling similar items on ebay for much cheaper. Most of them are unused and cost half the price.
