H11 Fog Light LED Bulbs

Has anyone ever replaced their ugly yellow'ish fog bulbs with LED bulbs as apposed to the xenon balast route...?

I found these...

for sure, you will need error cancelling cable kit due to differences in wattage. The absolute worst case scenario is the potential havoc these LEDs may cause your LCM to fail.

I know there is talk of the fogs and headlights being yellow.... but none of my lights are yellow, they are bright white all over the front (I do not have Xenon's BTW, just standard ones).... My car was made in Dec 2011, so I wonder if the later ones are white by default...?

Let us know how these lights work out for you. How long do they last, and what was your final cost. i.e. LED's + Adapter Cable.

For the time being I'm sticking with good ole Höen bulbs to match my HID's.

That resistor cable looks like it's going to run pretty hot. Please let us know how well they work, especially once it's warmer out.

Really?? I just ordered it... It says I have to mount the little resistor itself to metal and not plastic.. I wonder where I could do this in the front bumper... im concerned.

Also on another note... does anyone know if LED aftermarket lights like the one I have the link to reliable? How long do they last?

Resistors will produce heat, since it exchange wattage for heat, tricking your car's computer to believe it's drawing 55w. You will have to mount these resistors to the metal part of your bumper (behind your bumper cover), or they might melt plastic components around them.

I don't think these LEDs will produce a valuable light source, especially when you're in need for fog lights (I use my fogs for practical reasons). You should look into GP Thunder 8500k bulbs. They're around $15 on eBay, they're bright/white with no errors.

LED Fog/Head light bulbs technology isn't there yet. Only CREE LEDs will get you to the brightness level needed, but CREE LEDs are way too expensive to put 18qty on one H11 bulb.

Please post pics once you have those H11 LEDs installed, and write a review.

But I would have paid more to get German Made LED product. http://www.nsvauto.com/lighting.pdf ... see page 17
