M Performance Power Kit For 535i
Just wonder if anyone have this M Performance Power Kit installed on the F10 535i? is the added HP noticeable?

Looks like a flash tune? it doesn't give any data as far as gains? For that much u might as well go with Dinan if warranty is a concern

Here's a fairly In-depth review from a guy who installed the mppk on his 335i N55.
It's a mild tune. BMW states 20hp and 32 foot pounds of torque increase but the dynos on the 335's are showing around 70% more, although the F10 may not generate that much. This guy says it's definitely noticeable (which it had better be for what they're charging) I'm not a fan of the the way it changes the exhaust sound - adding that burbling sound - not sure if the F10 version does that or not. http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=821701 Here's the 3 series MPPK announcement http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...38&postcount=1 The Dinan 535i tune will give you considerably more hp (76) and torque (80) but it's a piggyback tune and is 2k plus installation.

I have the Mperformace Package installed on my 2015 535XI which I took delivery of back in June , I had a 2011 535i , then a 2012 535XI and all I can tell you is my 2015 is like a rocket ship compared to my previous 2 F10's, there is plenty of power and torque and the car is much smoother from a standing stop. With this said, I can also confirm that the car burns much more gas than my last two cars , I can't even get 600 KMS ( 400 miles) to a tank of gas and I am not really that heavy on the metal .
I now have a 2016 on order , I expect to receive it in December , same configuration as my 2015 which was recalled by Transport Canada owing to damages caused in Halifax due to an ice storm during transit to Canada, BMW are replacing my 2015 at their expense with the 2016 , I was not even experiencing any issues with my 2015 and received a call out of the blue from my dealer telling me they have to take my car back and put it out of service . My 2011 was a rear wheel drive, 2012 was an XI with M Sport Package and 2015 has M Sport & M Performance Packages. The problem that I have found with these upgrades is once you experience them it is impossible to order a car without them, there is no going back . The M Performance package is a $ 3600.00 option here in Canada, probably not worth the $$ , only reason I took it was that BMW offered me a early termination ( 6 months) of my lease on my 2012, considering I needed new brakes on my 2012 and I would have exceeded my lease mileage allowance had I kept it , the numbers made sense to get into a new car early and this car was a stock car and happened to have the M Performace package on it and the lease was very attractive . Whatever you decide , be warned that once you have the M Performance package, you will want it on your subsequent vehicles if they are BMW's. Good luck with your decision .

Just some other factors you're paying for.. Factory warranty intact, piece of mind, BMW engineering, CARB legal for Cali people. but yes, at that price id recommend the Dinan tune if available in CAN.

@gabman. Does the exhaust have a different sound vs stock? The link I posted above has a video showing that the exhaust has that "burbling" sound after installing the MPPK on a 335i. Just wondering if it's the same on the 535.
Also, the $3600 was CND, about $2700 USD, correct? Thanks. Last edited by SonicEndeavor; 10-01-2015 at 11:53 AM.. |

I have the active hybrid 5 which gives similar numbers to having the M PPK fitted. But the battery puts on extra KGs. So doesn't necessarily give the same performance

A bunch of F15 X5 35i guys doing the MPPK and stacking it with RaceChip Ultimate.
They are very happy with the setup. It is the same motor, minus restrictive mid pipe on the F10. The F15/F16 mid pipe are straight pipe.

i can do so much to my car for $3600
If you are worried about warranty just put the stage 1 Jb and remove it before your dealersip visit ( takes 5 minutes ) You get a lot more power and save yourself $3250

Here in Canada the M Performance Package is bundled with 20" Style 434 wheels &
the M Power Kit , price is $ 3800.00 but you must first add on the M Sport Package @ $ 3600.00 & Premium Package $ 4200.00, this is how we getted ripped on monthly lease costs of + $1200.00 per month

Some of you are really missing the boat regarding this thread. The OP is talking about the "M Performance Power Kit", aka MPPK, which is a software flash to increase the power of the engine. Many of you have confused it with the "M Performance" option when purchasing the car (which is bumpers, spoilers, wheels, etc.) with the standard 300hp engine software for the turbo-6. They're two totally different things.

Perhaps this is correct in the USA, I will defer to our US Members to comment, however here in Canada what you describe in your Post as the M Performance is sold here in Canada as the M Sport Package and the wheels/tires that come with this package are 19" Style 351. The M Perfomance Package is the M Performance Kit along with 20" Wheels & Tires Style 434 and this package retails in Canada for CAD $ 3800.00 while the M Sport Package retails for CAD $ 3600.00 . In order for us Canadians to get the M Performace Kit we are forced to first order the M Sport Package along with the Premium Package $ 4200.00 , It sort of sucks to be Canadian when buying a BMW I believe that DIGIVIEW mentioned in his post that BMW USA offers the M Performace Power Kit as a stand alone option for US $ 1300.00 installed. Thanks G

Decent torque bump right to the 450nm max torque rating of the ZF transmission at 1200 rpm.

I have the MPPK on my N55 X5 and it really changes the way the car feels. I don't believe the official hp/tq gains one bit because the car feels noticeably faster. It not only tunes the car for more power it also changes throttle response, transmission shifting characteristics which makes the whole package much more sporty. Well worth the 1K in my opinion.

Hey guys
Sorry for reviving an old thread but i got this Power Kit on my 2016 535. My sports display shows 400hp and 400 torque.. From what i've seen online its 320/320 before the flash tune? anyone else has 400/400? Seems WAY off to me |
