Hope all is well.

Anyone know if newly tinted windows lighten or darken about one week after installation?

I’ve searched the internet and I’m seeing conflicting info.

I'm sure it depends on the brand and quality of the tints.

if you get some premium tints there should be no fading or darkening whatsoever period! if you are than i'd bring that back cause you got some low quality tint! i'm basing this on my experience back in the days tinting for a company in Cali i did for a couple of years.

Usually turns purple over time if you use windex or something similar with ammonia in it I believe to.

Quality tint with stabilized dye most definitely should not fade or darken a noticeable amount over its service life, let alone in a week.

So while it shouldn't get any lighter, is everyone saying it shouldn't get any darker?

I'm referring to the adhesive drying and the film completely curing...

You shouldn't notice any difference.
