We have USB (in glove box) as standard in Hong Kong. And as told by my CA, you can play music or use it as iPod connection (with the "Y" shape wire).

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hi, I just changed my car yesterday to the M-Sport and i was told by the dealer that it would be the 2011 model i.e. built in September with the latest as the M-Sports will not be built before then... hope thats true!

I've access to 3 F10s now in uk. (Mine is not due to last week in august).

All 3 display artwork from my iPod when attached. So kinda odd.

Does it display artwork etc like in the link below. This is from the latest incarnation of the iDrive used in the 3 series coupe after 3/10.

No, the USB port in the glove box is for importing music and/or driver settings profiles into the internal hard drive. The USB option in the center console (6FL option code) is for iPod (with the Y cable) and streaming music off flash drives.

That's what I am confuse about, cuz 6FL is listed as standard in so call the Hong Kong spec. And I was told that all I need is the "Y" wire to connect to my ipod.

This is getting even more confusing now

The port for the 6FL option is in the center console, not the glove compartment. There is a USB port in the glove compartment, but it's for different functionality.
