Sluggish F10 can you help? 530D MSport 245

For some reason my car feels more laggy. There is a noticeable lag in the engine before the turbo acts, then it seems to jolt on.

I have driven a similar 245 engine on an Audi which seemed a lot more responsive and smooth.

Is there anyway to tell ? I have contacted one rolling road company called Owen Developments but other than that.. I probably need something a little back street in the UK South/ Swindon / Wiltshire.

Any thoughts I would welcome. 2011 car, miles 54,000.

You can't really compare an Audi engine, have you tried another 530d?

Has it always been like this or recently got worse? My 530d has some lag but it's not too bad, but mine has a BMW performance pack that boosts the power by 25 bhp...

You could try a tuning box, these apparently get rid of the lag and add power. I have been researching them recently for mine, Racechip seems to be a decent box with proven results in the tuning section of this forum

how old is the car and how many miles.
If its still in warranty, the obvious thing to do is take it to the dealers.

I've got a 530d and I guess there is a very slight amount of lag if you push your right foot whilst the car is running at low revs but nothing of any note in my opinion.

As BEAST has asked, is this a new issue or been there since you've had the car?

Garage List
You don't say which Audi and more importantly which gearbox

I went from a 335D to a C350 CDI to an A7

The Audi had by far the least power yet had a 0-60 time that matched the other 2 and had far better economy to boot whilst weighing more and having 4 wheel drive

I put all of this down to the dual clutch gearbox which was (is) far more efficient than the boxes in the BMW or the Merc (especially the Merc)

I suspect this may be what you are noticing
