I just got done installing lamin-X taillight covers on my f10. I have done the same job on my F 30, and that was much easier! However, this was not that bad if you take my advice and ensure you use the heat gun.

Be very careful not to wrinkle or warp the film, as those do not come out. I think the look as sharp all said and done, and add to the already smoked-out look that I had going. Let me know if you have any questions on where to get or how to do the install. If you are in SoCal I may be able to help.

There are still some air bubbles but they will come out in 2-3 days.

Just curious, are those the 'tint', 'gunsmoke' or 'smoke'? I wanted to do this on my 6 series but didn't want it too dark, more like an OE look.

Let me know which one you order, and if you can help out with install since I don't have a garage. A 6pack of your choice awaits if so!

Just did my taillights this weekend also. I picked up the 'gunsmoke' which came out pretty good, not too ghetto dark. I was surprised at the quality and thickness of these films, nothing like the 3M vinyl. The first try took forever but after I got the hang of it, the second side was a breeze. My advice, spray a fine mist of water than stick the vinyl on and align with corners. You'll have to peel, stick, peel, stick a few times. I just worked my way out from the center using the plastic tool. Luckily I have a softer, fabric covered tool because I think the one that was included may scratch the surface. After everything looks good, I just used my scalpel from HD (better than the included one also) and cut off the tabs. I then used a heat gun to seal up the edges. Lamin-x recommended not to stretch the vinyl at all so I didn't use my heat gun until the very end. Just my experience, that's all. Overall, super happy with the outcome except they sent me the wrong reflector set so they'll have to resend that this week but you can basically, see the difference in color from stock.
