285/35 on a 10in wheel?
Hey guys i知 getting some new wheels and tires within the next week or two and wanted to get some opinions on my planned setup.
I have a 2012 535i with the sport package(not m sport) Existing setup: Front 19x8.5 et33 245/40/19 Rear 19x9 et44 275/35/19 Planned setup: Front 19x8.5 et35 245/40/19 Rear 19x10 et35 285/35/19 My thoughts are I should bump the rear tires up to a 285 since I知 going an inch wider with the wheels. I like the chunkier tire look and added curb protection. Has anyone run this setup? Any rubbing issues? I知 at stock ride height at the moment but may get some springs or coils at some point down the road. The wheels i知 getting are rotary forged sportline 8s. The tires i知 looking at are michelin pilot sport a/s 3 plus. Any Help or opinions would be much appreciated. Last edited by Postman805; 06-24-2020 at 09:51 AM.. |

The only thing i知 concerned about is the poke. With a 10 inch wide wheel with an et of 35 it will poke by nearly an inch (21.7mm) further than it is now. With the added width of the tire will it poke past the fender? Id rather it be flush than the tire or wheel poking.

So the 285s worked out and ate even ever so slightly stretched on the ten inch wide wheel. Heres a couple pictures. Next is a slight drop.
