big thanks goes to Lsiturboing for pointing me to G2 caliper paint which seems to be solid stuff. Since I was painting calipers I went ahead and swapped rotors for slotted and drilled ones from Cquence (guess who else has them :-) ) and new brake pads so I don't need to mess with changing brakepads for a while and risk of damaging the paint.
Also, I've put some temperature resistant M logo decals and the results are below

Looks good! Yellow is an underrated brake caliper color IMO, looks really good with dark paint colors. I'm hoping to get mine powder coated something close to Austin Yellow soon.

But given that wheels are about 125 a pop, I'd guess like 75 a caliper?

this is exactly 3 years now since i did this and the paint holds well. i know many users who have used other paints like VHT and other brands where in just a year the painted already started flaking off, dulled or lost color. i think you'll be happy for the next few years and more

This was the case with the previous caliper paint I had, I took it to the place where they were supposed to know what they are doing, but the paint started peeling off after a year or so. So when you mentioned you had G2 paint for a few years without peeling off, I had to jump on it because my calipers looked horrible.
