Does any one here on the forum have used AMSOIL on their 535X drive N55 engine?

It will probably be fine, but keep one thing in mind. If you use it and have a oil related failure during the warranty period, the company has a case against you because you used a non approved oil:

In the USA, the 3 most common and easily accessible motor oils that meet BMW Long-life rating LL-01
Approved Synthetic Oils for the US Market
BMW High Performance Full Synthetic 5W30 (BMW P/N: 07 51 0 017 866)
Mobil 1 0W40 European Formula
Castrol Syntec European Formula 0W30

Also approved but harder to find:
PENNZOIL ULTRA EURO 5W-40 FULL SYNTHETIC MOTOR OIL
Pennzoil Platinum European Formula 5W-30
Valvoline SynPower MST 5W-40

Thanks fo the great Info, and I agree 100% that during the warranty period use their stuff which is not bad at all, was just that i have used amsoil on all my vehicles for the past 17 years, good stuff.
