Well, go drive around for like an hour and then get out and touch your exhaust tips and see how hot they get.

Seriously though my buddy is doing a little thing with the tips tomorrow so I literally have no time. Maybe on the trip to his place I can check.
Check what, if the exhaust tips will burn your hand?

Please report back here with your findings.....

Yes... I too am interested in the results of this very scientific test. My hypothesis is that you will receive second degree burns. But we cannot know for sure without your experiment's results. God's Speed....

Will melt and turn into a brown/black mess around your tips. Your only option is to have to painted with high temp paint. No other option.

^^ NO

Plastic dip is just a rubber coating and it will also melt. Go touch your exhaust tips after a 30min or longer drive and you'll see why.

I was thinking about Plastidip but my old tips were plastidiped and they were actually quite durable and didnt melt.

This will be interesting, keep you guys posted.
Don't dip it. Considering you u have a Dinan tune, your exhaust tips could reach 320-400 degrees. The dip will only cover 300, other than that, it will melt

+1 on Dinan. BTW I dipped mine only because I do not plan to do any performance upgrades. Came out great for me.
