Burger Tuning N20 for F10 520i

I was told by Terry at burger tuning that JB for 528i is also compatible with 520i. I also notice some distributors are selling JB for the 520i such as Boss Motorsports at BMW-SG. What worries me to try is they don't officially list it at Burger Tuning website that it is compatible and list what sort of gain it will delivers. Anyone had tried the JB on 520i or 320i, thank you very much for your input.

Hi Kalem, Yes it will probably work. However, Burger cannot test it on a 5.20i because this engine is not sold in the USA. Therefore, you will probably need to try to find out. Send Terry from Burger an email and he might be able to tell you more. Am about to install the same tune on my 528i. Looks like ridiculously good value. good luck!

Thanks Peter, like you said Terry cannot tell me much as they don't have this car model in US. I know other tuners like TMC etc have it for 520i but seems like everyone in this forum uses JB. Secondly, JB connects to 4 sensors where they rest only connect to 2 or 3 sensors. It just seem the more sensors it connects the better, but I can be wrong.

Just installed it on my 520i today, took about 15 mins, very easy to install. Initial impression it pulls stronger from 2k rpm onwards. Definitely noticed the difference. Given I've also test drove the 528i before, I find stock 528i is still a touch faster. No complaint for the price tag. Hopefully Terry can get his hand on a 20i so that it can be tuned even further given the higher compression ratio.

Kalem,

DO you have any 0-60mph figures after the mod ? Or do you really feel the difference in acceleration?

Also have you got any engine warning or error messages after the mod ?

Has the service interval gotten shorter etc., ?

Please let me know your actual day-to-day review such as any problems with car after the mod......as I too am considering the mod for my 520i f10

Thanks.
