BMW Canada 2011 528i brochure and pricing

I just got a hold of the BMW Canada 2011 528i brochure and pricing. Price for the basic model is $53,900. There is also a chart comparing the 528i, 535i and 550i and what is standard equipment and what are options. Sorry about the low res image as that's how I got it.

The Canadian cars are equipped differently than the US. Even so, it's still cheaper in the US. However, once BMW Canada get's through with you and all the hoops they make you jump through to import a car, the small difference just may not be worth it.

I've also attached the entire pricing guide for BMW Canada for all models. This one has the pricing and options / packages for the 535i and 550i.

This is better pricing than the 2010 model. Glad to see that. The outgoing 2010 is priced at ~ $56,000

Interestingly, the 528i now only uses 9.8L/100km in the city! That's brilliant. The E60 model did 11.5. My parents are looking at the C-class for my mom, and that thing uses 12L/100km even in the (200hp/180lb-ft) C250 trim. On the other hand, the A4 2.0T (210hp/260lb-ft) also uses 10L/100km. I'm guessing BMW's next-generation I4 TT set to replace the N52 will get into the high 8s.

I wonder what Honda and Toyota are doing at this point to maintain their (one of) lowest in industry fuel efficiencies. If I'm not mistaken, a basic Camry also does 10L/100km.
