The prices sounds right. What about warranty/service issues with the BMW dealer? Will we need to un-flash the car before we take it in for service?

The current price for the N55 tune is $599.99, rough numbers he threw out were $475 with 5 people and $430 with 10 people, again these are numbers he threw out in conversation and are non-binding.
I'm definitely interested in try this ECU tune out complete with pre and post dyno pulls. One important thing to note is that for the N55 remote tuning right now they can only loan you the hardware so they'll ship it to you and you'll have to mail it back after you flash your car. Not sure on the timeline for them having one you can just buy outright like they have for the N63.
That's a strong discount. He's very accomidating about group buys. I've been emailing with him and I'm quite sure we will be able to work something out on both the N55 and N63.

Yep, you need to flash your car back to stock before a trip to the dealer.

Why is the N63 tune significantly more expensive? Like 3 times the price of N55.

Because the car cost more. So the mark up is way higher. Unfortunately thats how is goes. Any of the tuners, look at the tunes for the older or less expensive cars and the prices are extremely lower...

Jerry has made it very easy on us, and given us an awesome deal at the same time.

$400 for either the N55 or N63 tune if we get 15+ people. Simple as that. Jerry said to expect ~45 whp with the N55 tune and ~75whp for the N63 tune. That's an awesome deal.

Will someone whos already been in conatact with Jerry ask if this is compatible with JB? I am willing to take out my JB and have this done but if they both could work together then why not. I am getting more interested in this now!

All, email me if seriously interested and once we get 15 I'll send the email addresses to Jerry and he will bill you via PayPal. We need to get 15. RLH23 at aol dot com is the best way to contact me and get in on the deal. Probably best to close this thread until I talk to EC about being a site sponsor. Again, email me if you are interested or have any questions.

MBA
MBA this would be a question for Terry not Eurocharge. Terry would need to design a special tune to work with a flash tune. Kind of like those N54 folks who ran dinan and a specific Jb+ to bump the boost a little more to give the dinan some more kick.

Emailed you.

I'm certainly interested but need to know whether we can have a way to revert back to stock for service visits and then retune again--and how much such a device would cost on top of the ~400.

Given the retail price of the n63 versus n55 tune, the discount would be HUGE for n63 owner if we could pull this off.

Interested, however same question as above: How do you go back to stock and retune again?

I know he has a handheld programmable tuner for MB, but not sure on BMW. I'll have to ask and get back to everyone on that. Again, shoot me an email if interested in getting a tune.

I am interested depending on price and support for 91oct. I'd like to see a before and after dyno chart but at this price it is pretty much a no brainer

I don't know about now, but flash tunes should be invisible to the dealers. No codes, no worries. I had a flash on my 535 took her in for services and never any issues at all.

For people who are comparing it with JB4..here is something I posted a while ago on bimmerfest..in this case Eurocharged is a real ECU tune and JB4 is...

"The JB3/JB4 burger tune or similar tunes that require you to install the "tune" by connecting it to engine electronics are actually messing up with your engine. The ECU relies on data collected by several sensors installed in the car and these "tunes" feed incorrect values to these sensors. Yes, they give you hp and torque but you get a lot of visible and invisible trouble codes during the process. These so called "tunes" do not require a reinstallation after dealer upgrade as they never actually write anything to the ECU as they work by feeding retarded values all the time!

A bench tune or OBD2 tune is an actual performance remap of how the engine performs and replaces the stock map. Since tunes directly access the ECU, you get more power and a lot of torque as these tunes have the potential of changing certain values not accessible by the "retard tunes".

Personally I would never install burgertune or anything similar..no offense..they do work but I prefer getting a real remap tune for the reasons mentioned above."
