Thanks for the update diplomatic.
Ryan Did you happen to ask Jerry what the situation is for flashing the ECU and keeping JB tune together? Has anyone done that before? Is it compatible? What would he advise? I am getting more and more interested now. Looking forward to the dyno and review when diplomatic gets it!!

I haven't asked him about that bc I'm guessing he isn't familiar with the JB tune. That might actually be a better question for JB. Just ask them if their tune can be used with a true tune that reflashes the ECU air/fuel ratio, etc.

I am in Middle East and getting a laptop and sending it back would be a serious issue so if there is no flashing "device" then I wont be part of the deal. I have checked the dimmsport website and they have listed BMW F10 as compatible, I don't know why EC is not supporting the device!

What does dimmsport offer for F10 N55?

Do you have a link to it?

dimmsport makes the mygenius ECU flashing device for tuners who can then sell it to car owners with a performance tune to easily flash their cars at home.

I didn't see support for the F10 (or any F series) in the My Genius - Application List found here:http://www.dimsport.com/mygenius/mygeniusdownloads.php

Most tunes don't trigger a CEL. Jerry should have the dyno fixed this week so we can get some numbers.

They don't have it for a 550i. I emailed and specifically asked.

One issue that the guys over at OETuning said they were having with the N55 tune was that whenever they flashed the car via the OBDII port the car would revert back to stock programming once it was turned off and back on. Not sure the specifics behind it but thats what they told me when i was trading emails with them awhile back which is why they can only bench flash their tune. Something to keep in mind for the guys working on this platform...

That would be a bummer. Maybe that's why EC asked diplomatic to leave his car overnight? So they can bench flash?

I asked,....they were going to flash my car using the OBII port and call me for any reason they decided to do otherwise. Now if Eurocharged can get their dyno up and running we'll have answers to a few more questions..

Just an update. EC is still getting their dyno issue resolved.
