but I would like to ask you a question in regards to a couple of mods you've done since I have exactly the same car as you. Is the rear diffuser you've put on to mount the quad exhaust simply a replacement? Do you dismount the original peice and mount the aftermarket one on? How does that work? It would be greatly appreciated if you help.
Thanks

Hi,

As for the diffusor, it is just a replacement on e insert in the M bumper. No cutting, no fabrication it is really made to be there. Vorsteiner products are perfect fit.

For the exhaust, you know that or the right end side of the trunk, our cars, 528, we have a compartment that is deep compare to a 535 or 550. So you will not be able to put a normal exhaust since there it no space. I have opted for Arqray and they have made a system with dual exhaust where the one on the right side is small and will fit without any modifications. I believe only them and eisenmann offer a solution like this. All other will have the modify your trunk compartment.

My exhaust sounds almost like stock, it is not loud and I am very happy with it as I didn't want the car to sound like a civic. No drone whatsoever. If you want a big rumble, this exhaust is not for you. I have posted a sound clip of the exhaust. If you do a search on my name, you will find a series a photo and a sound clip.

Hope this help

another question if I may.. you said it's just an insert in the M bumber. What if I don't have the M bumper? Does that mean I have to buy a M bumper from BMW with the insert?

Yes you need the M Sport bumper to use any of the factory BMW diffusers.

If you like the quad look, you can keep your existing bumper and cut the right side to match the left, or there are a couple of aftermarket diffusers that can be fitted to the non M Sport bumper. These also require cutting I believe. Hamann makes one you might want to look at.

I can confirm the need to replace the right trunk compartment.
I had mine replaced with the shorter one from a 535. Once that is done, you can use a regular exhaust/muffler such as the one made by Meisterschaft.
