20" wheel and tires setup question

hey guys =)

im going to get 20x8.5 ET 30 wheel (avant garde M510) with 245/35/20 tires (General Gmax) for my 2011 535i XDrive. BUT one of my friend which is the manager of discount tire told me that 245 isnt the perfect fitment to it, he recommend 255 instead. he said The load index is what you have to look at on each tire. and now im pretty confuse about it, because if i look from tire rack/BMW/m0dbargain they recommend me 245 just fine. so what should i do guys? go with 245 or 255 just to play safe?

and my car also got H&R lowered springs installed, will that be a problem for either setup (245 or 255)? like rubbing etc? this one guy from m0dbargain told me it wont, but yeah i just have to make sure of everything before i spend $$ on everything

im looking forward to any advice before i place an order, i really cant wait to get a hold on this set of wheel and tires =)

thx for looking and hope u guys can help me out

Thx for the respond. But im actually gonna run a square setup since my car is a xdrive. Ive heard from few people staggered setup its not running as perfect as the non all wheel drive. So im just playing it safe, im scared ill messed up with the drive train or something.

Lots of people run 245s without an issue.

Thats what I thought too. But yeah not according by the load index on discount tire database system.

But I guess it shouldn't be a big deal between 245 and 255?

Will it rub though on lowered springs?

If you with a 9.0 or 9.5 then I'd say get the 255/35 but 245/35 is perfect for 8.5.

As long as your tire O.D. is the same front and back, then your x drive will be fine.

If you are going square, then go for the 255/35 as the 245 will look good up front but will look to small for the rear.

I still think you should go 8.5/10 & 245/285

Square setup, I agree you should go 255. Good luck and post pics once you get them.
