So are you saying there's an trailing tax that you pay every year? Is that on top of annual registration/licensing fees?
Here in hk we get taxed heavily othe car on first registration, then each year a licsening fee is charged according the engine size. First registration tax here is on a sliding scale and starts at 45% and reaches 115% for a new car value above usd50k. Painful |

Across (I think) all countries in the UK we have a sales tax of 17.5% and then an annual road tax. The cost of the road tax is based on the emissions for your vehicle. For a 520d it's £95. For a 535i it's £245. I don't think we have the 550 in the UK but I believe it's emissions would fall in or near the top band which is £450 a year.
