OEM 351 M sport wheels?

Hi all..I just purchased a new 2012 550i M sport X drive sedan. It has 245/40 R 19's in front and back. Can I put the 275/35 R 19's in the rear on those rims. They are just skinny looking as they sit? Please advise! Will it effect the x drive system? Thanks for the help!!!

No. better check what's the width of the rear rim comes in at.

You need 9 (width) to fit 275

Correct. The OP's width is 8.5. The 275/35/19 tire may fit, but it will look odd on the rim. Not to mention it's not needed. It won't affect the X-Drive system, but it will negatively affect, your wallet. You'll get worse gas mileage and the car will likely be slight slower and the speedo will be off.

I think so. The staggered option is allowed for sedan only.

M550d (X-drive) has staggered wheels (245/40R19 - 275/35R19).

Not sure if that goes for the other X-drive cars, but the 245/40 and 275/35 should have the same rolling circumference and should not upset the X-drive.

x-drive for N.A. cars come with square setup (at least that's for MY2011 + 2012 ... not sure for MY2013)

Since you've got the 19x8.5 rear wheels, I wouldn't put 275/35/19 on those.

Do I have any options with these wheels? Or do I need to get different wheels if I want larger rear tires?

No other option. You want wider tires, then need wider width rim (for the rear). Do remember the correct tire size too when you are changing from stock size.

Would style 351 wheels that are on a 550XI fit on a 535XI? The 535XI have 8.5 x19 ET 35 , I believe the 550XI has an ET of 30 , they should also be 8.5 x19 as I am told they are a square set up. Thanks

both 535xi & 550xi have the same wheels (front & rear) and thus same offset.

the 30 offset you are referring to on the 550xi is on a 18 * 8 wheel.

OEM F10 wheels are ET30 for the 17x8 and 18x8, and ET33 for the 19x8.5 and 20x8.5.

Thanks for the replies, the offsets I quoted were given to me by the parts dept at my dealer, figures that they were wrong.
