Congrats on your ride it looks really fantastic. Last week I saw and took a quick picture of an Individual Moonstone E61 and it looked great.

congrats on the car, I actually like the color, it seems to have some sort of pearl effect.
any specific reason why you chose the gasoline over the diesel?

Moonstone is probably my 2nd favorite individual color. The first is Tanzanite Blue, but it is only offered on the 6er. I have never seen a Moonstone in person, but from the pictures it seems to be an extremely beautiful color on an already very pretty car.

Congratulations on your purchase!

I hate BMW for giving us the GT instead of the touring!

Moonstone isn't bad, almost like a faded silverstone, in a good way. With proper setup and maybe some contrast it'll be stunning.

Yes, you are right. Especially the different hues of the color depending if in or out of sunlight cannot be captured by the cam (or not by my cam)...

Yes there is a pearl effect, a little bit like the Mineral-White color.

We only drive 15000 kilometers per year max, so a diesel makes no sense for me. Even if the BMW diesels are really refined and you nearly do not hear anything about the ugly engine inside, a diesel is simply never as smooth as a petrol engine and I like higher revs also. And also I do not like the smell after filling it up. So to be honest it is mainly my wifes and my personal preference...AND I do not care about figures, because in any case there is enough power also with the 35i engine...

How many shades of gray can humans make ? If gray would be banned from the car manufacturer's color choice, the world would be so much more fun...oh wait, everybody would get black cars then.

Looking forward to seeing this beast with those wheels you've ordered.
Can't wait to get my hands on a moonstone 640d ASAP - if the wife lets me

Same cosiderations I did when ordered my F11 535i. Unfortunately there are less and less of us, at least in Europe.

Attached a photo of my one month old 535i Torung.

Nice touring! I read somewhere that BMW realized that they lost sales to MB for discontinuing the tourings in favor of the 5 series GT. From what I read, they are contemplating bring it back to the states. Hopefully they will!
