It definitely drones, but i think i may have gotten used to it. The only drone i notice is at 79-81 mph. Outside of this I don't get much.

Honestly, im not sure if its drone of just exhaust noise. But either way its manageable considering i drive highway once a week for 20 minutes.

I think if i re did everything, I would keep the resonators in place. They dont add much sound but i suspect they help with drone just a bit.

Ouch, that scrape...haha. How does the sound level compare to something like the Eisenmann race mufflers? What tips did you use?

You can hear me wince at the scrape hahaha

Never heard the race mufflers. It's definitely loud but I wouldn't say crazy loud. In my view, this is how the M5/M6 SHOULD have sounded from the factory.

I used quad 3.5" vibrant exhaust tips:

When you lose the mufflers do you just unplug the flappers or do you have to do a golf tee mod? I haven't gotten underneath there yet and was wondering if the flappers are electronic or vacuum? You throw any CEL lights after unplugging or anything? I want to get this done but I am going to just lose the mufflers and throw some nice tips that are burnt blue at the ends, titanium if i can find them! Thanks for the vids!!

The flappers are just attached to the muffler so when u cut the muffler out the flappers go. Not sure what the guy did with the vacume hoses, think he just put them away.

Oh ok so they are vacuum, basic golf tee mod then. You should check to see that your guy plugged them completely, or you will have a vacuum leak. I should have this done in the next few days, I will post up a video since it will sound a little different with the resonators still on. I just have to find the right tips now! Thanks for posting and the info!
