It's the tires, not much you can do other than get better tires.

So the noise goes away because the tires warm up? Whiel that is hard to imagine, I will take your word on it...

I switched out the tires to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and still have the noise so don't think that's the issue.

Happy to report

My week 36 535i rides without any pull. Hoping that the post summer break builds worked out kinks. Also no issues with engine vibrations or jerking at low speeds (possibly because I don't spend much time at low speed!)

Sadly, not yet. I had great hope for the last shop visit w/ the change out of the steering column. The pull is less severe, but still there. My car goes back in the shop today...

Hi all,

It is my first post on this forum so I'm saying hello to all of you.

In the near future Im planning to order an F10 from a Polish dealer.
Simple question about "pulling to the right" problem:

whether it may have something common with optional Activee Steering ?
All of you guys with this steering problem - do you have additional option - Activee Steering ?

Also I do believe that it shouldnt have nothing to do with Adaptive Drive ...

Just to update. I got rid of my E92 335i which used to pull to the right as well (New tires, many alignments done) and nothing ever fixed the pulling. I just got a new E90 328i sedan loaded and I can honestly say that it doesn't pull to the right at all. Steering is perfectly centered and tracks perfectly straight just like my 2010 X5 does too. Was considering a new 5-series but heard about the pulling to the right issue.

Has BMW fixed this problem with the new F10 5-series?

FYI, I got my week 37 528i over the weekend and I didn't feel the pulling to the right.

This is what I (re)ordered:
Space Gray, Active Seat Pkg (ZAV), Convenience Package (ZCV), Driver Assistance Pkg (ZDA), Premium Pkg 1 (ZPP), Premium Pkg 2 (ZP2), Black Nappa Leather (NASW), Split Fold-Down Rear Seat (465), Ski Bag (464), 4-zone automatic climate control (4NB). And added the Sport Pkg (ZSP) this time around.
jc031662; I think you made a wise choice, I really also like the sports package however I don't like the added electronics of the Dynamic Handling Package. Car&Driver even stated in their 2011 550i review that they'd opt out from getting the Dynamic Handling package as well.

You must keep me updated on this. I am VERY excited for you, buddy

Wow, congratulations! Just picked my 550i Euro Del from the dealer last night, while I was in Germany I noticed the pulling to the right, so this is good news if they cant fix it here in the States.

So do the new September builds have a fix already in place to make the new F10 5-series track straight with no pulling right or left when driving down a pretty known flat road?

I received my car in early August (I think it was a week 28 build), and I had a slight pull (sport package without adaptive drive).

I believe some cars have a "normal" pull whereas others are far more severe.

My car still doesn't track "perfectly" on the highway (between 75 and 85MPH), but it's damn near good enough.

The new electric steering is far more sensitive and does not pull back to the center like previous models. BUT having said that, the F10 still should not have a pull, no matter how slight, in either direction - it should drive straight - and that is right out of the mouths of 3 BMW field tech reps.

2011 BMW 535i pulling to the right

Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I picked up a 2011 535i last week and notice it's pulling to the right. Is there a fix for this issue?

Hi dave4262,

What week was your car built on out of curiosity? And how hard is the pull?

How do I find out what week it was built? The pull is not that bad but its aggravated since this is a new car.

good question . I am assuming there will be some information with respect to the build date of the car in the driver door side, but I will leave that to the veterans to answer.

Did you order the car (which I assumed you did, thinking that way you would know the build date by heart), or buy off the lot?

The last 3 NEW cars I have bought all pull to the right.. Toyota FJ, Infiniti QX, BMW 335i... Go figure? I had heard this was intentional as a safety precaution in case the driver falls asleep, the car will pull off the road instead of into oncoming traffic...?
