Anyone know what this icon is?

Showed up on my screen... hung around for a while, and then went away. It's the icon of the car with the little broadcast waves coming out of it. Not the cell network coverage indicator.

My phone is always paired with the car through Buetooth and I don't get the car symbol. I do however get the "round swirly" when syncing and the "bars", showing reception.

My guess is that this is a symbol that the car is sending a status update to BMW through the SOS link?

Another symbol I saw yesterday was of a phone with a cross through it. It was the result of ignoring a call that came in from someone, while I was on a call.

thats a sign for USB not sure what the -1 indicates - something plugged into USB port on armrest??

The number (in this case "1") represents the position of the currently playing song within the list. The list is context based - i.e. filtered results based on your selection criteria.

The icon of the car emitting waves is 'Request current vehicle position' according to the manual. Saw it while looking for something else and thought I'd post it. Not nearly as funny as the much better answers above!

I think BMW should have another icon like this ....

I suspect the car is sending it's position to the mothership (BMW). Not sure why that would happen when you're driving. Maybe the OP's wife works for BMW.

I actually think it's BMW Assist (when pressed) and the vehicle is transmitting data to the BMW Call Center requesting assistance.
