Help Wanted : Lowering and wheels F11 M550D

Hi all,

Being the proud owner of a F11 M550D, I'm looking to lower the car and put a set of wheels for summer.
I was thinking of lowering the car with a set of springs,
no coilovers due to the options of the car, any thoughts?
Or even better how low can you dropp an X-drive?

Also thinking of switching from 20" to 21".
Found two sets of BBS RX II in 21",
a square set in 10.5j Et 35,
could this work and if so, what kind of tires would be needed?
A staggered set 9j Et 23 with 255-30-21 and 10.5J Et 28 with 295-25-21

I don't want to kill the X-drive

You should do 9" ET23 front and 10.5" ET35 rear, so a combo of the two options you've got.

I have seen a really cool Rwd with a 10j or 10.5j squared set up in 20"
and would like to get that same look, his car is wicked.
But As I'm driving Awd, not sure that I can get that same look.

I would like to get really low with some nice wheels.

So anything goes....I still have some wheels that we're sitting on the E91, Et24 front and back in 19", they seem to small for the wagon. but I haven't tried them yet.

@ remmib
Reading all these posts on X-drive and wheels.
You seem to be the best person to ask...

Looking to lower my car, what would you recommend?
square or staggered set up,
I was thinking to stick too 20" and dropp the car more.
Having My summer tires in 20" available, would these fit on 8.5j and 10j?

Would you have thoughts on dropping the X-drive?
Thanks
