Fellow GT owners: Rear passenger ventilation question

2012 550 GT without rear climate package.

Do you get heat out of your rear passenger vents? I only get cool air. Asked the dealer and they said you only get heat in the rear via the floor vents?

Unforutnately my GT doesnt have the blue-red thumbwheels in the rear as the manual indicates it should. Only thumbwheels are for closing-opening vents. And in the front there is only 1 thumbwheel blue-red for temp adjustment even though in the manual it shows there should be two.

Seems odd to me but Im constantly surprised by some of the "features" on this 80k vehicle.

Thanks for the help.

My GT has 4-zone automatic airconditioning as standard [UK spec] where you get heating/cooling and (digital) temperature adjustment at the rear just as you do in the front. The heating comes from floor, b-pillar and console vents.

I presume some US-spec cars come with standard airconditioning [2-zone both in front] in which case I imagine the rear vents have 1/0 functions.

Don't let anything surprise you! Looking at the new 650 Grand Coupe and it DOESN"T have the soft close trunk pull down!! MSRP with my options totaled 93K. I may not purchase it for that one option not being available on a vehicle priced so high. To see that most other vehicles priced much lower have that feature as standard. BMW does sometimes disappoint! :-( BTW I have the 550I GT and it's a great car!

Hahaha Digger, you crack me up!
You won't buy the 6GC because it doesn't have soft close power trunk.
Really?

BMW super fans are the best.
