*REVIEW* CKS Suspension
Firstly I would like to thank John Tsai @ CKS Suspension for the great product and helping make the ordering process quick and painless. He was extremely attentive to answering all my questions with the suspension for my F10.
CKS Suspension Finally got around to getting my CKS Coilovers installed and thought I would share with you guys the difference I’ve noticed thus far. My primary goal was to get the lowered look for my F10 as well as tighten up the feel and drivability. Install time took a good 4-5 hours with me and my brother taking our time (first time install on a F10). The kit I received from CKS had absolutely everything needed to get everything dialed in 100% I highly recommend using a lift if you have access to one as it will save you tons of time doing the adjustments and fine tuning at the end. Build quality on the CKS suspension is top quality and on par with KWs or perhaps even better. You are able to adjust ride height & dampening. All coilovers are built to order and completely custom, you are able to choose different spring rates, valving as well as shock travel length. Driving with the new coilovers really is a night/day difference compared to stock suspension on my 2014 535i M-Sport. The old suspension was excellent for a smooth but disconnected drive, with the new CKS coilovers the car really feels dialed into the road now. Turn INS and exiting apexes I can tell a huge difference in the cars overall stability and drivability. I feel a lot more confident going into turns at speed as well as exiting them. I currently have the dampening settings almost at the stiffest setting and the ride quality is excellent, very little to no body roll in the car with. I plan on messing with the settings a bit more to really find the sweet spot that I prefer but unfortunately have not been able to drive the vehicle that much yet to get a 100% feel for the settings. There is little to no dive in the car under hard braking and WOT acceleration. You are able to lower the vehicle slightly or completely slam it, there was a good amount more lowering I could of done on mine. Overall the CKS Coilovers are a HUGE improvement over stock and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality made suspension setup. I will be updating this thread as I get to drive the car more, also when I get a chance to take some quality pictures! Suspension: CKS Coilovers Wheels: Forgestar F14 SDC 20x9.5 et11, 20x10.5 et31 Tires: Hankook Ventus V12evo 245/35R20, 275/30R20 The setup I'm running would be considered very aggressive and not for your everyday driver. However there is little to no rubbing while driving. The only time I experience any sort of rubbing is very large dips in the road or large potholes which I try to avoid anyways. On with the pictures! Notice the difference in height compared to the old coilover taken from my car. The rear ones were the biggest pain, easiest way on the F10 is to remove the speaker covers in the rear, + the speakers and you will gain access to the bolts needed to remove and install the strut. FIN! If anyone has any questions feel free to message me, post here or even email John Tsai john@ckssuspension.com |

Wow, that look sick with what I assume are Lacster's old wheels.

Wow your car is gorgeous! Just a quick question, do you think that CKS could custom make a set for an XDrive model? If so, they could really sell a lot of them.

How are the wheels holding up? Looking for a summer set for my AW 550xi. Leaning toward the F14 style or a set of 343m.
Like the Hankooks too? |
