Alpina D5 Touring musings...

I've been fortunate enough to find a complete F11 Alpina D5 rear bumper in Poland...same Sophistico grey as my car too. I've also bought some second hand M5 F10 back boxes off eBay.

So I need someone that can take all of this kit, and fit it for me.

Any exhaust specialist suggestions in the North of England would be great... I'm also wondering if I should 'chop' down the Drive side muffler so it resembles the Eisenman exhaust and prevents me from taking the car to pieces...Any thoughts? See pics below.

I also pledge not to ever fit Alpina D5 badges!!! I just love the look or the rear diffuser.

Andy.

Is that bumper any different than the standard one? Looks like just a different rear diffuser to me.

Hi Craig, from what I have read online, the diffuser is specific to the Alpina Bumper and won't fit an m-Sport bumper. I guess in the same way the M5 diffuser is a different fitting and requires the M5 bumper.

I could be wrong...only way is to try see the part in person.

Good find, those rear sets are very rare.

Should look great when fitted, though I am a bit bias.

I've alaways had a company car so have never really had the chance to get into this too much... Quite addictive!

It seems like a awful lot of work for a different diffuser?

I have done the same Upgrade on my F11 520d, I used a Remus Quad Exhaust
My car is now a complete Alpina Replica, of course without Alpina D5 Badges
Only the Alpina Rims are missing at the moment

That looks amazing. I managed to find a guy to build me a replica diffuser too; as the B5 / D5 BiTurbo has 4 fins along the bottom. Alpina wouldn't sell one, even when i offered to pay the retail price of £480!

The sad this about the Polish parts, is that they are all parts that have been stripped from stolen UK cars, shipped out there and sold back to us. Same with Lithuania. I found all this out when my E60 MSport had an attempted theft, and the police know all about the cycle of parts.
