Can you replace seats with multi-contour seats?

Traded in my 2012 528 for a 535 but didn't get the multi-contour seats because it was not available on the lot for the color I wanted. Does anyone know if you can replace the regular seat with the multi-contour seats?

I believe this can be done, however, the cost would be so astronomical that it just wouldn't make sense.

So you traded in a new car for another new car due to not doing your research initially and then you got another new car without doing your research again?! When your spending this much money DO YOUR RESEARCH! Look at all the option possibilities online. Go to the dealership and play with all those options and are which ones you want. Then get what you want and don't settle because you want it now or you can save a few bucks. Once your spending this much money you need to be happy with your purchase. Take this as a second lesson and make sure you get what you want next time

To answer your question it's possible but not worth it. Cheaper to trade it in again

Most dealers are willing to look across dealer inventories for the vehicle you want if you do not want to order a custom configuration. Buying off the lot is something typically done when you are in a hurry and you know the express: haste makes waste. I fully agree with omaralt. Personally, I have never bought off the lot because I have not found that those vehicles have the particular combination of features and colors I was interested in.

Just a curious question. Not intending to change it. But you you right, u can't settle when it comes to options.

I upgraded the standard seats in my E60 with the 20-way multi-contour seats. Worked great... but... the car would not recognize the seats because of the added air bags in the seat. As a result, the only way BMW could work on the car where coding was involved, they had to put in another BMWs VIN.

Also, I bought the seats off of eBay. They were in excellent shape and were a great price. However, after installing them I found that the driver's side head rest was blown. It was fine cosmetically and was a simple fix for $1000. I didn't replace it.

It can be done, but there are down sides. I would (& did) just buy the car with the seats you want.
