Aftermarket Tires
Hey all...I'm thinking of putting a set of 20" wheels on my car. I looked up some tires on tirerack and discount tire direct. I don't want to spend a whole lot of $$$ as these will be my summer wheels only. I'm basically looking for something durable w/ decent performance. Some of the brands that have come up are: Nitto NT555, Hankook Ventus V12, Dunlop SP Sport Maxx, Falken FK 452, Yokohama X-drive etc.
Does anyone have any opinions they can share for this? |

I would have gone for the Continental Extreme Contact DW if they would have had the rears in the size I wanted -- 285/30/20. Since they didn't, I went with the Michelin PS2's.

I wanted to try the Hankook Ventus V12's also, but my tire guy told me he wouldn't put them on my car --- he said the quality wasn't good at all -- uneven wear and noise. I guess everyone prefers their own brand.

Vredestein's if they make your size.
GREAT tire for the money.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
